Membership Services Objectives

The Vice President of the club heads up Membership Services Committee and one role is the welfare of club members as well as arranging much of the club calendar with social events, outings etc. The committee also includes a Speaker Secretary who arranges interesting speakers for our weekly meetings. Membership Services Committee is an important cog in the Rotary Wheel helping the club run smoothly for this year’s President.

Many view Rotary as a male dominated charitable organisation and whilst that may well have been the case in the past, the importance and value of diversification evolve in recent years has seen many women welcomed into Rotary. Indeed next year’s International President is female. This is now a particular goal for our club and we would welcome lady residents of the town to come along as guests to see first hand what we do and how they can put their skills into action for the benefit of the town.

So please men and women of South Woodham Ferrers grasp this opportunity to keep this club alive and thriving for another 40 years. We meet at the Lodge on a Tuesday evening at 7.30pm. Please note we meet 3 Tuesdays out of 4 every month.
